Investigating the failure mechanisms and stress evolution during hydraulic fracturing
Suzie Jia is working on her PhD in Petroleum Engineering with Professors Wong and Eaton at the University of Calgary.
She received her MSc (2015) at the University of Alberta, and her BSc (2012) at the University of Waterloo. Her interest focuses on investigating the failure mechanisms and stress evolution during hydraulic fracturing. Her research integrates different methodologies, such as MATLAB programming, numerical modeling, laboratory tests and geophysical data analysis to better characterize the stimulated reservoir volume.
